Proposition #53 "Funds Dedicated for State and Local Infrastructure"

NO -- This initiative would amend the constitution to lock up a significant portion of the State General Fund in infrastructure projects. We do not believe that these projects are a priority for state funds at this time and oppose the circumvention of the state legislature in this funding decision.

Proposition #54 "Classification by Race, Ethnicity, Color, or National Origin"

NO -- Prohibiting state and local government from collecting information from individuals about race and ethnicity is a dangerous, deceptive, and irresponsible measure that would damage our ability to address disparities by race or ethnicity in important areas like health care, educational resources, hate crimes and discrimination.
