BECOME ACTIVE IN YOUR LOCAL GREEN PARTY [top]

Do you find yourself in yet another election year with the same unsatisfying choices to make? Are you tired of playing the two-party game where you feel compelled to vote for the lesser-evil candidates even though they don't really represent your political views? If your answer is "yes," please consider becoming active in the Green Party of Sonoma to help build a strong third-party alternative to "politics as usual."

A good way to start is to come to our monthly business meetings. We meet every second Tuesday of the month at the State Building in Santa Rosa (more information below). There you will get a chance to talk with other local Greens and find out about the current projects that are underway.

One upcoming project is a one-day telephone survey we are putting together to find out what county Greens are thinking about in this election year and to build interest in a fund raising event that is in the planning stages. If you would like to get more information on this, please contact Susanne Reta at gpsc_subscriber@roadtaken.com.

To get a broader perspective on how the Green Party operates, consider attending the Green Party of California General Assembly which will take place this Saturday and Sunday (4/5-4/6) in Berkeley. For more information, please visit http://www.cagreens.org/.
